A Haitian Sunset
1/10
When we arrived in Haiti, we got off the plane and went through customs, like usual, but people invaded us trying to help with the bags because they wanted money. It was very overwhelming and at that moment I did not know if I could last 5 more days there.
Marco (a Haitain) said, "You burn yourselves in the showers."
The kids at the orphanage were so happy to see us and they are all so happy, so thankful, and they have absolutely nothing, when we have everything and are unhappy.
After this trip, I realized: it's so dumb to get mad and frustrated over the little things because we have so much to be thankful for already. We don't need anything to be happy.
